Question
What were the Jinn created from?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and messenger.
The Jinn were created from fire; Allaah Says (what means): {And the Jinn We created before from scorching fire.} [Quran 15: 27] The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, told us that the angels were created from light, the jinn were created from fire and Aadam 
was created from clay; then their procreation - humans and jinn - was from water (semen). Allaah Says (what means): {Allaah has created every [living] creature from water.} [Quran 24: 45].
