Question
1-I am a computer engineer working in a large investment firm .This firm invest in everything and works in everything related to money like stocks,bonds,and it also lend money but it is not a bank my job is to fix and setup their computers is my job is halal or haram .Jazakm allah kul khayer
Answer
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
If the company you are working in deals in usury (Riba) transactions, it is prohibited for you to work in it, as working in such a company means also helping its owners in Riba hence helping them in what Allah has prohibited. Allah Says (interpretation of meaning): {(Forbidden) also is to use arrows seeking luck or decision, (all) that is Fisqun (disobedience of Allâh and sin). This day, those who disbelieved have given up all hope of your religion, so fear them not, but fear Me. This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islâm as your religion. But as for him who is forced by severe hunger, with no inclination to sin (such can eat these above-mentioned meats), then surely, Allâh is OftForgiving, Most Merciful.} [5:3].
The Prophet cursed, the one who consumes Riba (interest or usury) the one who gives it to others, the one who writes it down and the one who witnesses it. He said: "All of them are equal in sin". [Muslim].
We also advise you to look for a lawful job. Then your earnings in such a job are pure. You could then pay your family's expenditures, and make alms from a pure thing that is accepted by Allah. Allah Says (interpretation of meaning): { And whosoever fears Allâh and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty). And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine. And whosoever puts his trust in Allâh,} [65: 2,3].
