Family tries to convince father to abandon Shirk

Question

My Father is from the innovators while my brother, mother, sister and I am from Sunna. He doesn't believe in going to the mosques and praying behind the Imam and not even praying el Jumua, but we do. He seeks help from other than Allah and who he thinks are (awleyaa ALLAH) but we believe that only ALLAH can help us in anything and we shouldn't ask anyone but ALLAH. We talked to him a lot but we couldn't convince him. What shall we do?

Answer

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

It is your duty to continue giving advice to your father. So, do not lose hope of guiding him to the right path, but your advice should be in wisdom and a good manner. Then seek help of some scholars, and give him some taped materials that show corruption of his belief, and do not forget to pray to Allah, The Exalted, to guide him.
Here, we are to know that seeking help of the dead and giving up the prayer makes one a disbeliever. So, you have to show him such a truth, and if he insists on doing that he will be in danger. In other words, your mother will be divorced from him automatically and the contract of marriage becomes null, and it is Haram for your mother to remain with him. But, if he accepts the truth and repents, Allah will accept him - Insha Allah. We ask Allah to guide all of us to His right path.
Allah knows best.
