Her husband divorced her thrice under pressure from his family

Question

Dear Sir,
I am completely devastated as my Husband Kamran divorced me via legal papers a month and a half back on 10 of december via legal papers i got only once in which he wrote me divorce 3 times and signed it. The very next day i got those papers he contact me saying that he only signed those papers since he was under a lot of pressure from his whole family and parents who were on death bed and holds me responsible for there illness he said that he had not made those papers neither read them once or send them to me he just signed them for relaxing his parents that he will leave me but he dont know who post those papers to me without his consent so he and i we both want to keep this marriage as we have a daughter who is only 2 yrs. Therefore i am writing to u to ask u that is there any chance i can go back to him without any halala. is our marriage still valid and if not then what does Islam got to say for such families who force there sons to divorce there wives just because they had a phobia of magic and believe that there lives safety is in ruining their bahus lives.
Sir i am truly hurt by this and i dont know wat to do since i cant live without my daughter and moreover i cant see her living a life without a father as in my family divorce or separation is the death of so many ppl's lives it never ever occured in my family and we r truly rich n reputable and religous ppl whos respect means everything to them. My parents are completely losted. I dont know how to gather my life back. Please Please help me in the light of quran n Sunnah.
I will be highly oblige if u answer me within my waiting period.

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

If the situation is truly as you mentioned in the question that your husband signed the divorce papers but he did not intend to divorce you, then this divorce does not take place, because writing the words of divorce is one of the metaphors of divorce and divorce does not take palace with it unless the husband intends it as we clarified in Fataawa 89894 and 87034. Therefore, you are still a wife of your husband.

Finally, the following points should be noted:

1- It is not permissible for the parents to order their son to divorce his wife without a sound reason, and the son is not obliged to obey them in this case as we clarified in Fatwa 84056.

2- One should endeavor to keep a good relationship with the in-laws and avoid problems with them as much as possible.

Allaah Knows best.
