My husband is a dominating person. He does not care about any ones feeling and if he say we have to do it,if he buy anything i have to accept that i can;t say i like or not. Will i get reward for being patient with him and
eventhough if i dont like his behavier? thankyou.

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

If a wife finds in her husband what she does not like and she is patient about it, then she will be rewarded about this –Allaah willing, for more benefit on the excellence of patience, please refer to Fataawa 88764 and 83577.

Each of the two spouses should have good marital relations with the other, and they should have mutual respect to each other. Allaah Says (what means): {And live with them in kindness.}[Quran 4:19] Allaah further Says (what means): {And due to them [i.e. the wives] is similar to what is expected to them, according to what is reasonable.}[Quran 2:228]

Moreover, a wife should know that Allaah made the husband a guardian (over his family) in the house. However, a husband should not use this guardianship as a means of suppressing his wife.

Furthermore, a wife should know that she is ordained by Allaah to obey her husband within what is permissible, on the other hand, the husband should not exploit this opportunity to oblige her to do something that she does not like in matters in which she has the choice, like the kind of clothes, and other matters that do not contradict the Islamic Law.

For more benefit, please refer to Fataawa 88304 and 86618.

Allaah Knows best.
