Question
MY NAME IS ASIM SIDDIQUI I HAVE GOT MARRIED 3 YEAR AGO. AFTER 3 MONTH I HAVE TEST MY SEMAN THERE IS NO MOTALITY. MY WIFE FULLY SATISFIED WITH ME IN SEX. BUT MY WIFE NATUE IS NOT GOOD SHE PIN POINT EVERYDAY SOMETHING LIKE THIS U R IMPOTENT PERSON, U FEMALE , U R LADY COZ U DON,T GIVE ME CHILD SHE HAS FIGHTING NATURE AND SHE HAS BAD ATTITUDE FOR EVERTIME I M IN TROUBLE . SHEIKH SHAIB PLZ THINK ABOUT ME WHAT R THE FEELING COMES IN MIND WHEN MY WIFE SAYS ME IMPOTENT... I HAVE TOLD MANY TIME TO MY WIFE PLZ DON,T SAYS THAT CHEAP THING TO ME ALLAH MAKE LIKE THIS IS NOT MY FAULT USKI RAZA KE AAGE KISI KI NAHI CHALTIBUT SHE IS NOT STOPING ME THIS CHEAP WORDS PLZ HELP ME I WANT TO ASK U WHAT IS RIGHT OF HUSBAND IN THIS SITUATION. WHAT KIND OF GUIDLINE GIVES US ALLAH,KURAN, HADESS,TO ALL MUSLIM IN THIS CONDITION.PLZ GIVE ME REPLY OR FATHWA. IN SHORT WHAT IS THE PUNISHMENT IN THIS SITUATION IF WIFE SAYS TO HUSBAND IS IMPOTENT ACCORDING TO HADESS, KURAN PLZ REPLY ME ITS MY REQUEST TO YOU SIR FOR THE SAKE OF ALLAH
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
It is not permissible for a wife to describe her husband with a description that displeases him in order to humiliate him and despise him even if this description is real. Indeed, the matter of having children or being sterile is predestined by Allaah and the people have nothing to do with it; Allaah Says (what means): {To Allaah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth; He creates what He wills. He gives to whom He wills female [children] and He gives to whom He wills males. Or He makes them [both] males and females, and He renders whom He wills barren. Indeed, He is Knowing and Competent.} [Quran 42:49-50]
Hence, such a treatment from a wife to her husband is contradictory to his rights on her and it is considered as disobedience and misconduct on her part towards him; so the husband has the right to discipline her according to the Sharee’ah as we clarified in Fataawa 85402 and 84120.
It should be noted that a wife should be patient with her husband and help him treat himself (medically) instead of criticizing him for him being infertile. For more benefit, please refer to Fatwa 88807.
We advise both the husband and wife to do whatever leads to the stability of the family and maintain the spirit of harmony and love between them as these are the most important objectives of marriage. Allaah Says (what means): {And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquility in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.} [Quran 30:21]
Also, among the matters that help achieve this objective is that both spouses fulfill the rights of the other. For more benefit on the rights of the spouses towards each other, please refer to Fatwa 85308 and 83157.
