Dusting off bed 3 times before sleeping is Sunnah
Assalam aleikom wa rahmatuAllahu wa barakatuh. I've heard muslims should wipe the bed before sleep with the right hand three times while saying bismillah, because the jinn may sleep there and to not accidentally hurt them. Is there any basis of this in islam?thank you and Barak Allahu feek .. More

His stepmother behaves badly towards his imprisoned father

Supplicating Allaah for a good voice in Quran recitation
I love to recite the Koran. I often listen to Quran recitations and find the voices of the reciters (Qurra) very nice. But I do not find my voice so beautiful. Is it permissible to make dua that Allah gives me a beautiful voice like the famous reciters (Shuraim, Mishary, Saad al-Ghamdi, etc.)? Can this end in shirk ar-riya? please reply in detail.
